FAQ's

What do I do if I have an accident?

If your car is drivable, you can bring it into our workshop for an estimated quote. We can then start to process your insurance claim as soon as possible to get you back out on the road.

What if my vehicle is not drivable?

If the vehicle is not drivable, you can arrange to have it towed to our workshop by calling Wilsons Towing (Wil-Tow) on 1800 945 869 and we will take care of the rest. Insist on having your vehicle towed to The Bump Shop. Do not drive a car that is not road worthy.

Can I get a quote over the phone?

Unfortunately not. Due to the number of variables involved when it comes to vehicle damage, we need to see the vehicle to provide an accurate estimate.

Do I need to contact my insurer or will you do as the repairer?

You will need to contact your insurer to inform them of the accident. They will then provide you with the necessary information needed to process your claim.

How long will it take to repair my vehicle?

This depends on the nature of the damage, the severity of the incident and the availability of parts. We always aim to have your vehicle back on the road as soon as possible. We may uncover hidden damage as we start working which can mean extra hours. Of course, you will be notified if this happens.

Do you provide a warranty or guarantee on vehicle repairs?

Yes, we provide a lifetime warranty!

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Mastercard, Visa, Amex, EFTPOS and cash.

Am I able to use a hire car while my vehicle is being repaired?

You will have to check with your insurance policy for your exact entitlements. If you are the driver who is not at fault and the other party is fully insured, please contact our office on 07 3268 4900 as we can provide a car at no cost to you.

Will I have to pay an excess for my vehicle repairs?

Please contact your insurance company as this will depend on your current policy.
